Primary Responsibilities:

Senior financial lines segment manager dedicated to Small Commercial portfolio management. Responsible for growth, profit/loss of the small business FL portfolio, inclusive of premium plan, forecast development, and collaborative development of online solutions.
Drives field initiatives to develop premium growth opportunities and enhances business development efforts in collaboration with FL regional, and local branch practice leaders.
• Drives the development of underwriting guidelines for Small Commercial financial lines business priorities and strategies.
• Drives delivery of pricing strategy for Small Commercial FL initiatives, including rate, rule and form filing updates - as needed, training, field communication and marketing.
• Collaborates with other FL segment leaders, Product Management, Product Services, I/T, Market Segments, Actuarial and Claims on FL issues.
• Contributes to development and delivery of technical support on various FL initiatives. Builds proficiency with industry resources and online tools
• Manages language development projects, including filing updates, criticism response, training, and marketing.

Skills:

• 10-15 years of underwriting experience with demonstrated technical proficiency in handling financial lines underwriting theories and practices, inclusive of predictive models.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing a FL portfolio, including a track record of results achievement, customer development, collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, analytical, marketing/negotiation skills and pricing acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.
