Job Purpose

Centralize all the operative and transactional duties form LOB to a

Enable the P&C product line managers to spend more time doing what we want from their roles i.e. managing their teams, product strategy, high level producer meetings and large deals.

Broad Focus:

  • Drive into the areas that can impact efficiency and effectiveness in underwriting and marketing decision making.

  • Co-ordinate approach to issues that have relevance across multiple product lines.

  • Take successful approaches / solutions from individual product lines and push across P&C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the compliance with the Audit results
  • Manage the compliance with delegation of Subscription Authority
  • Manage the Implementation and Maintenance of products
  • Portfolio Management - Specialisation of Portfolio Review Action implementation including managing interaction with Actuarial, Predictive Modelling Unit, IT, Operations and external data providers.
  • Reporting - Centralisation and automation of reporting, especially production and underwriting metrics including impact of Portfolio Review.
  • Schemes & Facilities / Producers with Delegated Authority (PDA) - Maintain oversight of all schemes and facilities and PDA’s including maintenance of the PDA log and PDA approvals.
  • Systems – Lead systems development / enhancement on behalf of the Product Lines, including Portal, WorkView and any local systems.
  • Audit – Ensure audit process is implemented across region and coordinate follow-up actions
  • Act as bridge between the Product Lines and Actuarial, Operations, Claims and Finance.

Technical Knowledge

  • Broad understanding of the overall business, and insurance industry, administration and external market environment.

  • Solid knowledge of IT/Proceses

  • Broad knowledge of all insurance products plus knowledge of competitor activity, future initiatives and international trends.


  • Engineering/Finance/Business degree

 Years of experience

  • At least 5 years insurance industry experience.


  • Spanish, English and Portuguese


  • Must have demonstrated organizational skills through past management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of risk management, insurance principles and practices.
  • Ability to lead, plan and manage change
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development and strategic planning.
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and across business units and departments
  • Broad understanding of all key areas of the organization
  • Have a strong presence and able to interact effectively with, President and senior management.
  • Keen and effective team player
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial information and principles.
