Job Summary:
Reporting to the VP, Global PMO, this position supports the delivery of large-scale global projects/programs for IT Infrastructure from inception to delivery.  The project manager works with the program manager, architects, regional project managers and engineers to define project scope, solutions, phase deliverables, key milestones, and evaluates risks and the creation of contingency plans.  This role is also responsible for risk mitigation that may entail escalating critical issues and deviations from plan, driving immediate problem solving and aggressively progressing key milestones across the global infrastructure.  The individual is a primary resource and escalation point for Chubb’s overseas regions as well as North America regarding global infrastructure projects.  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work across a complex global network of stakeholders, technology teams, vendors and other supporting external parties to ensure IT projects are delivered on time and meeting the strategic and business requirements.
  • Manage, control and lead day to day delivery of infrastructure oriented projects and initiatives including definition, planning, financial management, risk and dependency management, acceptance and close. These projects will typically pertain to infrastructure systems and services (voice, networks, email, virtual desktops, data center hosting, cloud services, etc.), and will involve the hands-on development and support of detailed projects plans, issue logs, risk logs, etc.
  • Define, manage and lead projects from initiation of requirement through to completion of project and handover to service/BAU while applying a common methodology to manage risk and dependencies.
  • Work with regional delivery teams and application development teams to facilitate creation of requirements, design, sizing, and related costing of hardware, software, storage and resources of projects.
  • Continually identify, log and work to mitigate or allocate risks and issues within projects.
  • Coordinate and chair regular Steering Committee and Governance meetings for each project/program.
  • Hands-on development of detailed projects plans, requirements, operational models, issue logs, risk logs, etc.
  • 8+ years overall project management experience managing multiple, large projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
  • Experience managing large-scale ($500k+) infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in a formalized PMO structure, preferably with a Fortune 500 company
  • Recent experience with direct project management of projects
  • Ability to drive results
  • Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience managing projects in one or more of the following areas:
    • Server and Desktop OS Upgrades
    • O365
    • Virtual Servers and Desktops
    • Active Directory
    • Unified Communications
  • Experience with relevant software tools including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • PMP certification
  • College Degree; preferably in Computer Science
  • P&C Insurance/Reinsurance experience a plus
