The Senior Financial Analyst of Process Improvement & Data Management will generally report to the AVP of Process Improvement and will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions for various process improvement initiatives across the finance function, as well as assist the VP of Data Management & Process Improvement with various finance data management and analytics initiatives. This candidate will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel, including other financial professionals, divisional leadership, technology experts, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.  


  • Evaluate existing processes and develop technical solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness while adding value to the organization through enhanced analytics.
  • Work closely with project leads, functional owners, and technology experts to execute detailed project plans.
  • Standardize processes, deliverables, and technology/data utilization across various areas of finance.
  • Work closely with Financial Systems team on systems implementation and integration efforts.
  • Work closely with Finance Data Management team to implement data analytics capabilities throughout existing finance processes.
  • Research financial drivers, variances and out-of-balances by querying system databases, analyzing PeopleSoft accounts and reports, and communicating with business contacts.
  • Prepare and maintain various financial statements and analytical reports that track business specific financial metrics.
  • Support CFO’s and business leaders via research and analysis of business performance.
  • Create financial models for ad hoc business requests and special projects.
  • Ownership and maintenance of various business deliverables and analytical tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, major in Accounting, Finance, or MIS
  • 3+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or MIS experience
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and an ability to perform complex analyses
  • Mastery of end user applications (e.g., Microsoft products such as Excel/Word/Access)
  • Strong ability to learn new systems (knowledge of TM1, PeopleSoft, and Cognos a plus)
  • Proven ability to transform inefficient processes utilizing technology
  • Insurance experience, preferably experience working with a commercial P&C, Life, or A&H carrier
  • Public Accounting experience and CPA designation a plus
