 Currently, we are seeking a Property Supervisor for the Service Center Inside CAT team. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of property claim professionals in the delivery of the highest quality claim work product while meeting all internal and external compliance requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the delivery of timely and efficient claims service through the daily supervision of a team of (6-8) Property Catastrophe Adjusters 
  • Providing technical guidance to staff on claim investigation, reserving, evaluation and resolution of claims.
  • Providing individual adjuster coaching and career development direction
  • Delivering timely performance management feedback and reviews to claims staff
  • Effectively control the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers to enhance Chubb's brand in the marketplace
  • Active engagement and leadership on CAT and Discipline-related projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrate leadership skills including collaboration, influence, strategic focus, communication and accountability
  • Influence environment in the discipline to maintain a high level of employee engagement
  • Demonstrate leadership in internal and external environment by providing guidance on applicable claim statutes, licensing requirements, regulations, coverage, negotiation and customer service soft skills.
  • Demonstrate highly developed analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proven success in demonstrating transformational management and leadership skills including performance management, coaching, giving feedback and creating business goals and meaningful development plans 
Technical Skills/Competencies:
  • High level of expertise in all aspects of Property claims adjusting
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements and insurance regulations.
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills that positively influence a wide audience within and outside of the Claim department
  • Exceptional understanding of Claim Best Practices
  • Negotiation skills and resources that will influence the team’s results
  • Strong business acumen skill and understanding of the fundamental components of Claim, Property Discipline and industry strategies and trends
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization time management capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and influence business outcomes
  • Track record of success in coaching and developing staff
  • High level of expertise in all aspects of claims adjusting
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements and insurance regulation
  • An ability to work well in teams
  • Innovative thinker with ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of construction practices is a plus
Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the handling and/or supervision of claims
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CAT claims handling experience is a plus
