Job Description

North America Enterprise Infrastructure Operations  --  RPA Operations
Position Summary:
The successful candidate for this operations position will be a member of a core team focused on the delivery and support of Chubb’s Process Automation Infrastructure.  Responsibilities will include working closely with Chubb business partners, third party vendors and implementation partners to implement and support robust infrastructure solutions.  
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Support application code deployments - following Chubb change management process. 
  • Application stop/starts/restarts
  • Application upgrades and patches
  • App log cleanup and rotation - scheduling, automating cleanup jobs as required.
  • Application user ID’s / Group’s management in support of RPA applications and BOTS
  • BOT support - Maintenance, reliability, performance, troubleshooting, overall administration.  Bots are running on Server’s and Virtual Desktops. 
  • Support application team and vendor with server and BOT request process.  Assure requests make sense and are using infrastructure resources wisely.
  • Authenticate and validate backup/recovery, redundancy and Disaster Recovery solutions and assure they are in place and operational.
  • Participate in problem and incident management as needed.
  • Review, monitor and maintain application monitoring and alert scripts.
  • Application break fix - reviewing logs, opening vendor support tickets and updating application configurations as needed via proper change control.
  • Scheduling of jobs or reports required (daily, nightly, weekly, etc.)
  • Working with technology app owners to schedule downtime and deployments.
  • Participate in problem and incident management as needed. 
  • Support production deployment processes and performance testing
  • Analyzes and resolve automation software issues where required
  • Continually review and enhance systems monitoring and alerting
  • Partner with PMO and technical teams on project execution
    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • Five years (or equivalent knowledge) of  hands on technical Linux support
  • Windows Systems support experience
  • Process Automation and/or WorkFusion experience is a plus.
  • Competent in scripting (Bash, Python, Powershell)
  • Networking concepts 
  • Open Source database experience is beneficial, i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RIAK
  • Other Open Source experience valuable: i.e. Tomcat, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Selenium Grid Hub
  • Experience working on virtual servers / virtual desktops
  • SSL and HTTPS installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem determination skills, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection
  • Ability to work independently and on a team with colleagues across the globe
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision
