North America Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering  --  RPA Engineer
Position Summary:
The successful candidate for this engineering position will be a member of a core team focused on the design and 3rd level support of Chubb’s Process Automation Infrastructure.  Responsibilities will include working closely with Chubb business partners, third party vendors and implementation partners to design, implement and support robust infrastructure solutions.  
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Architect and Design infrastructure to support automated solutions in accordance with enterprise leading best practices
  • Support new Infrastructure requests – Server builds, OS, DNS, load-balancing, overall infrastructure design.
  • Assistance with new RPA vendor installations. 
  • Third level support for Application break fix
  • Application performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in RPA technical design reviews.
  • Help solution and validate backup/recovery, redundancy and Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Assure systems are implemented with Chubb infrastructure best practices in mind.
  • Participate in problem and incident management as needed. 
  • Review and define monitoring and alerting requirements.  Build scripts as needed.
  • Partner with RPA vendors on design considerations and security requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, and hands-on resolution to critical and severity-1 problems (this includes business and non-business hours)
  • Support production deployment processes and performance testing
  • Analyzes and resolve automation software issues where required
  • Continually review and enhance systems monitoring and alerting
  • Partner with PMO and technical teams on project execution
  • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify platform requirements
  • Develop solutions that meet business requirements, and execute the deployment
    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • Five years (or equivalent knowledge) of  hands on technical Linux support
  • Windows Systems support experience
  • Process Automation and/or WorkFusion experience is a plus.
  • Competent in scripting (Bash, Python, Powershell)
  • Networking concepts 
  • Open Source database experience is beneficial, i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RIAK
  • Other Open Source experience valuable: i.e. Tomcat, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Selenium Grid Hub
  • Experience working on virtual servers / virtual desktops
  • SSL and HTTPS installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem determination skills, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection
  • Ability to work independently and on a team with colleagues across the globe
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision
