Risk Consulting Strategic Business Relations Manager Grade 30 (AVP)

The role of the Risk Consulting Strategic Business Relations Manager is to oversee the management of the Valuation and Quality Assurance programs in accordance with published strategies and guidelines. Additional participation in Chubb Personal Risk Services underwriting audits and specialty audits will be conducted.  Strategic responsibilities include maintaining construction cost matrices and valuation methods used to develop replacement cost values, developing and updating risk evaluation strategies and associated documents as they are applicable to Chubb Personal Risk Services strategies. Collaborate with other Chubb Personal Risk Services business units as their projects and responsibilities resource risk consulting for valuation and technical needs. This position reports directly to the Chubb PRS Technical Leader.

Major Responsibilities-

  • Maintain and enhance as needed the Quality Assurance program inclusive of review and analysis of quality assurance reviews of inspection reports for all areas of risk consulting
  • Develop a quality assurance program for vendor inspections and inspection appointment scheduling
  • Collaborate with underwriting audit team to be an integral component of underwriting center audit sessions, specialty audits mainly specific to Catastrophe events, and large loss reviews
  • Work closely with PRS Technical Leader to confirm all work is processed in accordance with PRS and state regulatory guidelines
  • Manage/analyze all large loss information with a focus on identifying trends leading to new/enhanced risk analysis strategies and training opportunities
  • Maintain and enhance valuation strategy and processes for calculation of replacement cost values
  • Coordinate with the field valuation team to update construction cost values on a yearly basis
  • Work with PRS business units on specialty projects to main and insure proper valuation of the PRS homeowner’s book of business
  • Author, develop and implement strategic documents for the execution of the inspection process and risk analysis
  • Involvement with other PRS business units in the development of strategic plans and position papers
  • Strong collaboration and management of the risk consulting field technical specialists to support the Valuation and Quality Assurance programs as well as technical content development of strategies.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5 or more years in the risk analysis and replacement cost home valuation field
  • 5 or more years in the insurance industry with the ability to quickly and effectively learn insurance policy (content and details) and strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Effective working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of business products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to demonstrate high degree of credibility and influence among stakeholders supported
  • Ability to analyze training needs and situations to determine if performance can be improved through training. Design and implement respective training.
  • Ability to work independently on assignment of moderate to high complexity
  • Position is based in Whitehouse NJ however travel will be necessary for training and business events. Flexibility to work in multiple time zones.
  • Participate in educational and/or conference events to expand knowledge within all areas of responsibility
