Job Description

Recruit, train, support brokers and market the company products to generate new business and manage the servicing of existing business in an assigned territory.
  • Recruit and recommend appointment of qualified agents.
  • Visit agents and promote CHUBB Agribusiness products and services. Maintain liaison with agents to obtain necessary underwriting information, promote satisfactory service relationships and to encourage the submission of targeted business.
  • Conducts territorial analysis to focus production on maximizing program penetration and resources.
  • Develops business plan for assigned territory and submits to Agribusiness manager for approval. Implements approved Business Plan.
  • Establish and maintain frequent and regular communication with Agribusiness groups, farm organization, etc. within the assigned territory. May coordinate and speak at Agricultural meetings.
  • Works with Agribusiness to develop and implement approved advertising and promotional activities within the assigned territory as well as other special projects as necessary.
This Position will report to the VP of Agribusiness Marketing. The current Agribusiness P&C premium volume is approximately $135,000,000 with specific future growth goals. The Agribusiness Marketing Specialist will have personal premium growth goals as well as targeted profitability goals. This position will encompass the Marketing of both Commercial Ag and Farm & Ranch products in the assigned territory.
• College degree – Business Curriculum desired
• Five years of Property &Casualty insurance experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Agribusiness insurance products.
• Knowledge of underwriting rules pertaining Agribusiness insurance products.
• Ability to recruit and train agents and field personnel.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate and maintain business relationships with customers
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to travel when necessary-50% of time
• Effective presentation skills
