Key Objective:

In conjunction with Recreational Marine leadership and the PRS Sales & Distribution team, the Regional Agency Manager, RAM, is integral part of a team with responsibility for profit, growth, retention and expansion of Chubb’s recreational marine business across the Southeast and Southwest regions.  This position accomplishes these goals through effective agency management, developing and leveraging strong agency relationships, and effectively positioning Chubb’s competitive advantages and value proposition against the competition to influence wins.  Additionally, the RAM collaborates with branches across the regions with a strategically focus to uncover new customers and growth opportunities. 

The territory will include the Southeast and Southwest regions, the preference will be for the candidate to live in FL where there is a majority of the Recreational Marine specialist agency distribution. 

Key Responsibilities:

•         As the region’s Recreational Marine business development manager, establish and execute tactical business development strategies to achieve production goals, including:

o    new business growth objectives for both Recreational Marine specialist and high net worth producers

o    renewal retention objectives

•         Drive business results of Recreational Marine Specialist agents through effective agency engagement and management

•         Collaborate with the PRS Sales & Distribution team to identify and target profitable new business opportunities from high net worth agents, including prospecting package business from Recreational Marine specialist agents

•         Effectively collaborate with underwriting, service, claims, and field branches

•         Build and execute agency performance strategies, including branch engagement plans and profit improvement plans with Recreational Marine specialist agents, in collaboration with the appropriate branch team.  This may also include appointing new agents, closing, and/or  rehabilitating under-performing agencies

•         Marketing, including successfully deploying new products and services, monitoring of competitor activities and marketplace trends, and adding value to agents’ sales processes

•         Create and foster meaningful business relationships with producers in the assigned territory through agency travel, superior service, and agency education

•         Maintaining a strong understanding of our competitive position and a working knowledge of competitive intelligence



•         5+ years of proven sales experience in a high performing culture and organization

•         Preferred candidates have strong knowledge of recreational marine/private boat and yacht insurance

•         Strong relationship building, negotiating, and influence skills

•         Exceptional oral and written communication ability, as well as effective presentation skills

•         The ability to work autonomously and effectively manage multiple priorities

•         Ability to be creative and adaptable in a changing business environment

•         Valid driver’s license
