Job Description

Information Security Administrator 

Role:  As a team member on the Information Security Administration (ISA) team, the candidate will be responsible for improving processes for identity and access management ticket requests assigned to this team.  The candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset, and be able to troubleshoot complex problems. The candidate will complete assigned tickets, assist with identity projects, and continually work to improve the team’s daily operation approaches.  This candidate will report to the Senior Manager of Identity and Access Management. 

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate would be able analyze the current work being assigned to the ISA team and develop/codify an automation method with the objective to reduce manual work being completed.
  • Multi-task multiple projects and work initiatives to completion.  Work with staff to translate root-cause analysis results into actionable solutions.
  • Be part of a fast-paced team in which is constantly working across all areas of the business.  Work with stakeholders to understand their security needs and address any defects determined in the process.
  • Evaluate new technology and recommend new products that could enhance the team’s ability and core responsibilities.
  • Cross train other team members as new process and initiatives are defined.
  • Available to be On-Call part of a rotating schedule with other ISA team members.
  • Assist in Compliance Coordination efforts for IT.

Required Skill and Experience:

  • Strong ability to code in PowerShell, Python, Java, or similar scripting language.
  • Solid understanding of IT system administration and information security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and 3rd party applications including: office 365, Active Directory, and Active Role Server.
  • Curiosity and a proven ability to rapidly adapt to new/evolving information and business conditions.
  • Ability to listen, capture and translate requirements between different stakeholder groups (Business, Technical, etc.).
  • Ability to comfortably and professionally interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Can present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form to end users and other team members.
  • Functions well in a team environment with emphasis on good collaboration, and camaraderie to reach common goals.
  • Ability to translate work completed to readable reports using Excel, PowerPoint, or other technologies to be presented to management.

Desired Skill and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Aptitude to learn other complex systems including AS400’s and Mainframe operating systems.
  • Automation tool and/or Identity Management tool experience.
  • Solid understanding of NTFS and Share Permissions in a Windows environment.
  • Unix and Linux user account management experience.
  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms
