Hourly/Part-Time Front Desk Clerk

Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To provide exceptional customer service in the delivery of all guest services.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operates switchboard. Handles all incoming calls for the entire property. Takes and relays all messages for guests and employees.

2. Handles all guest service functions including check-in and check-out procedures. Provides all guests with accurate, reliable information concerning all daily events occurring at the property, all details about the property facilities, as well as information and directions to all local attractions.

3. Coordinates and books all ground transportation needs for guests with appropriate vendors.

4. Handles all guest requests and needs. Communicates all requests to the appropriate department, as needed. Follows up with guests to ensure needs have been met.

5. Handles posting of all changes to individual guest rooms, as well as group master bills. Checks all posting and charges from all other departments for accuracy. Responsible for maintaining acash bank.

6. Responsible for directing bell staff to assist guest as needed.

7. Responsible for responding to all alarms on property-wide security systems. Responsible for communicating and coordinating information to maintenance and security personnel.

8. Prepares daily reports for housekeeping and Food & Beverage department with accurate guest information.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to Manager of Operations.

1. Excellent communication skills, especially on the phone.

2. Typing skills.

3. Excellent interpersonal skills.

4. Basic math skills

5. High energy and self-motivation.

6. Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
