Focus of position is to successfully investigate, evaluate and negotiate resolution of subrogation recovery actions. Individual must possess the desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be an independent thinker. This position interfaces with internal contacts at all levels of the organization as well as a diverse group of important external customers and vendors. The ideal location for position is in our Overland Park, KS office.
  • Receive new recovery referrals, verify accuracy of information and assess recovery potential.
    Register new loss information on system.
  • Perform all file updates on system as directed by recovery reps/manager.
  • Directs investigation, evaluates third party liability, pursues subrogation recoveries, and negotiates settlements for Auto and property claims in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare subrogation demand documents.
  • May be involved in the following activities under the close direction of the Team Leader: open, evaluate and adjust entry-level/flow recovery claims to conclusion; determine policy contract coverages; seek recovery opportunities and process credits to file.
    Emphasis on auto property damage losses.
  • Communicate with brokers, insureds, claimants, liable third parties, and other insurers etc. to achieve desired results.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to insureds/clients.
  • Work with internal business partners to maximize recoveries.
  • Utilize Inter-Company Arbitration or other Alternate Dispute Resolution when practical.

  • High School diploma required
  • Analytical approach to business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experienced in claim intake and processing procedures
  • Experienced with OMNI & Microsoft products
  • Strong organization and data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding customer-focus skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to convey and receive information effectively
