Job Description

Reporting to the A&H Business Leader, you will directly manage a team of claim examiners in the accident and health division, focused on a consistent delivery of services within target levels, relationships with stakeholders, management and ownership of the customer experience.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and implement methodologies for a robust and strategic management of A&H claims – process efficiency and innovative claims service
  • Responsible for overall compliance with regulatory and best practice implementation
  • Develop an effective complaint management framework – average resolution time, handling and resolution
  • Focus on People – motivate, develop and retain talented people to help achieve business goals and high productivity per claim examiner
  • Customer service and support - aim for excellent customers’ satisfaction and positive experience for differentiation and engage the team to engage the customers
  • A&H claims portfolio management – efficient file load and effective claims turnaround time
  • Effective fraud checks for claim cost containment
  • Vendor management – effective management of vendor performance and reporting is crucial in A&H claims
  • Responsible for management reporting and other management duties relating to A&H claims portfolio

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 to 7 years' working experience specializing in A&H Claims and minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory level.
  • Technical knowledge in A&H policy coverage and claims practices and procedures.
  • Top-notch negotiation skills, with good theoretical and practical knowledge of claims processing.
  • Strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Ability to interact with senior management both internally and with our external business partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or proven insurance related experience.
  • Proven track record handling all types of Accident & Health claims. 
  • Able to work under tight deadlines with limited oversight.
