The Director of Strategic Accounts will be at the forefront of a key strategic initiative for Chubb. They will build our strategic partnerships with financial institutions, such as independent broker dealers, wirehouses, Registered Investment Advisors, and asset management firms.
Our goal is to continue to develop partnerships with such firms and the financial advisors affiliated with them to help protect their clients and their business against Property and Casualty (P&C) related risks that are often overlooked in financial planning.  Incorporating P&C into a financial plan can have a positive impact on client relationships, create a competitive advantage for the advisor and protect financial plans from detrimental P&C losses. Partnerships with financial institutions and financial advisors could lead to different operating models, such as helping them establish new relationships with independent insurance agents and brokers, building their own P&C practice or helping increase awareness among their clients to P&C risks, among others.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of starting, building and maintaining relationships with these firms. The candidate should be comfortable with learning P&C fundamentals and Chubb products and services, developing strategies for working with each firm, and creating firm presentations and communicating with all levels of management. 
This entrepreneurial position is for a growth oriented business development leader which with time and success, would lead to a team built to support you. The Director of Strategic Accounts will report to the Head of Partnerships, who manages the relationships with a broad range of for profit and not for profit organizations.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Identify firms that Chubb should partner with and create an ongoing pipeline
  • Open doors, create and build relationships with these firms at the top level
  • Create opportunities to deliver P&C key messages to Financial Advisors with meaningful books of business in our target market of successful individuals and families
  • Coordinate the introduction of these firms to local Chubb sales teams at the regional level
  • Serve as a resource for Chubb’s sales team to drive firm engagement in all regions and at all levels
  • Manage ongoing relationships with the firms to make sure we are adding value and maximizing the relationship
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Build a reporting mechanism to evaluate the firms relationships
  • Train and educate the Chubb sales team regarding firm-specific details 
  • Provide ongoing feedback on firm relationships
  • Maintain a calendar of events for all firms
  • Coordinate conference planning and related activity  
  • Conduct periodic face to face meetings with key partners (20-25% travel, or as needed)

  • Deep understanding of the financial planning marketplace, products, tools, technology and competitive landscape 
  • Experience in strategy and sales
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills to all levels of management

  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
  • 8+ years of experience as an account manager, in sales, or distribution strategy
