Job Description

Under minimal supervision, the Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for taking an analytical technical approach to performing tasks and resolving issues as well as performing all functions relating to the design, development, testing and maintenance of digital insurance products.  The position is also responsible for digital partner/customer onboarding and technical support of our products and services delivered via APIs.

  • Drive design, dev and deployment of insurance product and service APIs
  • Drive and collaborate requirements discussions with B2B Partners
  • SME (Subject Matter Expert) for internal policy admin and underwriting systems
  • Drive new functional application developments as the SME
  • Advise and train on new products and services APIs
  • Work with B2B Partners and digital startups on API defects and production issues
  • Work directly with front end and backend developers to coordinate the release of application fixes or enhancements
  • Perform user acceptance testing and facilitates end-user testing of application releases to verify adherence to requirements
  • Scheduled and ad hoc auditing of various systems and databases
  • Collaborative efforts within Digital Business and Line of Business SMEs, Underwriters
  • Collaboration and communication with our B2B partner technology teams
  • Bridge the gap between product owners and developers
  • Works directly with the business and technology team members to identify opportunities for improvement, and to validate, refine and prioritize user stories
  • Advocates for the team’s technical quality by insisting on design and code reviews, performance tests, test automation, and unit test strategies


  • Systems Analyst with 7+ years of extensive working experience in design and analysis of insurance products, underwriting systems and policy admin systems
  • 1-2 year of experience as a hands-on systems analyst defining APIs and services for B2B systems integration
  • Technical knowledge of complex enterprise platforms and integration process and downstream integrations
  • Deep expertise in P&C Commercial Insurance domain
  • Proponent of Agile methodology.
  • Ability to develop automation test scripts
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Good understanding of object oriented principles and design patterns
  • A strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
  • Must be familiar with large & complex systems, highly transactional online systems and performance architectures


  • Technical Expertise
  • Hands on experience in XML, XSLT, APIs, JSON
  • Knowledge of REST, MS Azure Platform, Web Services, Application Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Duck Creek, XML/XSL, Scripting, API Management
