As a Claim Supervisor, you are accountable for:


- Ensuring the delivery of timely and efficient claim service through the daily supervision of a Property Claim team that may include Mainline and IA Unit Examiners, providing best in class service.

- Providing technical guidance to staff on claim coverage, investigation, reserving, evaluation and resolution of claims.  

- Reallocating work and resources daily and weekly to ensure all service requirements are met and exceeded.

- Identifying trends within the department and providing analysis and solutions to ensure staff engagement.

- Providing coaching and training to improve staff technical knowledge and case management skills

- Delivering timely performance management feedback and reviews to claim staff

- Effectively controlling the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors

- Ensuring staff adhere to authority levels.

- Effectively consulting and interfacing with Property Tower SDRs, RDMs, and Supervisors on files with high complexity and severity in order to deliver positive outcomes.

- Monitoring team morale, engaging the staff, and developing strategies to resolve issues and drive positive engagement that support Department and Branch objectives, goals and strategies.

- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.

- Actively participate in committees and task force projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- High level of expertise in all aspects of Property claims adjusting

- Extensive knowledge of insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements and insurance regulations

- Innovative thinker with ability to multi-task

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people

- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment

- An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information

- An ability to work well in teams

- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and influence business outcomes

- Both Personal and Commercial experience is preferred

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

- Minimum 5 years of property claims experience
