Chubb Global Risk Advisors has identified the need for a Project Manager to manage contract work for our national and regional office accounts.  The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience and a minimum of 5 years performing and managing environmental consulting projects, specifically, the assessment, testing, and management of regulated and potentially hazardous building materials (asbestos, lead, PCBs, etc.).  The candidate must maintain the required certifications necessary to sample and assess these types of materials, prepare technical assessment reports with recommendations, and design and manage abatement/remediation projects.  The candidate must also possess a working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene exposure sampling, Indoor Air Quality, and mold investigations and sampling techniques.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required. 
The position will be based in our Boston office, and will require travel to project sites as required.  The position will report directly to the Global Risk Advisors Building Science & Environmental Engineering Regional Manager.
  • Bachelors or master’s degree in environmental/civil engineering, environmental science, or related field from an accredited institution.  Relevant work experience will be considered. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in direct environmental consulting or compliance field, with a practical knowledge of federal EPA, state, and local environmental regulations.  
  • Proficient with MS Office software products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and organizational and analytical skills; experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
•    May be required to work with or in an environment that contains unpleasant conditions and/or chemical or hazardous materials. 
•    Candidate should possess OSHA certifications and Asbestos Inspector, Project Designer, Project Monitor Certifications.
