Position Summary:

Chubb is looking for an entry level IT Architect to provide targeted support to key IT projects in NA Commercial Portfolio and also to help them align with Corporate Enterprise Architecture practices. This individual will take direction from the Chubb's Architect leads and work collaboratively across developers, QA testers and other architects. This person should have a passion for exploring new technologies, be hands on in coding and supporting solutions. The candidate should be digital savvy, have an architecture mindset and need excellent communication skills.Support strategy delivery through current system analysis, data profiling, data collection, etc.; Analyze data to validate business needs, understand gaps, quality concerns, etc.

  • Learn Digital technologies and be part of the change.
  • Explore and establish new technologies aligned with Chubb Digital architecture for consumption by applications
  • Solution design and involvement in full application life cycle development activities
  • Develop web applications using ASP.NET core and latest frameworks
  • Develop APIs and manage them on-premise and/or cloud.
  • Assist in trouble shooting and problem-solving
  • Work closely with all business units across North America region to help understand business needs and transforming them into IT deliverables.
  • Learn agile framework and DevOps methodologies and apply daily.

Position Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with any of the following languages preferred: C#, .Net, ASP.NET, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, TSQL, Angular, HTML, LINQ.
  • Knowledge on version control using GitHub and TFS, VSTS, Jenkins preferred
  • Knowledge of building RESTful APIs preferred
  • Familiar with ASP.NET Core, MVC and Entity frameworks.
  • Knowledge in cloud technologies.  Azure is preferred.
  • Highly organized, possessing strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent written/verbal skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
  • Ability to interact well with developers and other architects
  • Ability to quickly learn project processes and their incorporation into the tools utilized.
  • Orientation toward details
  • Works successfully in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
