Position Summary:

Ideal candidate will be a software engineer with experience of working with distributed data processing systems. You are a self-starter who is passionate about developing elegant data processing, analytics and machine learning applications.  You are adept at solving challenging data problems by utilizing a variety of different strategies, algorithms and programming models.

  • Identify requirements for data challenges that may be loosely defined
  • Collect and analyze data from diverse sources and assess accuracy for use
  • Analysis optimize and simplifying datasets for modelling and general consumption
  • Design build and own distributed cloud-based streaming data pipelines
  • Develop data models and algorithms to apply to datasets for normalization
  • Identify, evaluate and implement data management framework for data lake
  • Continually explore new ways of producing, processing, and analyzing data
  • Improve discoverability and reliability of data by creating and managing metadata
  • Researching and develop modern data engineering techniques
  • Build proof of concepts & prototypes to solve emerging challenges
  • Stay current with new data technologies and programming models
  • Be self-motivated and creative.
 Position Qualifications:
  • Degree in software engineering, computer science or other engineering field
  • Passion for data, numbers and statistics
  • Proficient in advanced data manipulation techniques
  • Experience in building data processing and data pipelining workflows
  • Experience in developing python and spark data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in data and database design and best practices
  • Experience developing and implementing machine learning algorithms
  • Familiar with working in linux operating system
  • Familiar with big-data technologies such as spark
  • Familiar with development tools such as git
  • Familiar with data processing technologies in platforms
