Job Description

The Chubb Customer Center (CCC) represents a cost-effective opportunity for agents to work smarter by having their personal lines clients serviced directly by Chubb. The CCC is a Personal Risk Services (PRS) Operations team of 50+ licensed professionals providing clients with an industry leading service experience and agency partners with quoting, cross/up-selling, and marketing support in exchange for a reduction in commission. We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) looking to work in a fast paced agency environment.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and retention within the CCC’s book of business and supporting the success of our agency partners. The BDM accomplishes these goals by developing strong relationships with Sales & Distribution, Underwriting, and agency colleagues across the country and effectively positioning the CCC as part of PRS’ overall value proposition.

Responsibilities of the CCC BDM include:

•        Stewardship of a $220+ million countrywide book of business.

•        Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with a diverse array of agency partners (including several Cornerstone agents) through regular communication, agency travel, superior service, and producer education.

•        Producer management, including mastery of S&D / CCC agency management system reporting resources, analysis of agency performance, and executing business plans to achieve target metrics and maximize results.

•        Constantly improving stakeholder awareness of the CCC’s capabilities and value, specifically within Sales & Distribution and Underwriting.

•        Develop and manage a variable pricing model that bases our service fee on factors such as agency model and impact on department resources.

•        Ownership of the CCC’s marketing collateral, external correspondence templates, and producer enrollment process.

•        Marketing, including successfully deploying new products and services within the team, monitoring competitor activities and marketplace trends, and tracking results to add value for our stakeholders. 

•        Collaboration with Underwriting, Operations, Risk Consulting, Claims, and field Sales & Distribution personnel to consistently find ways to say yes and do more to improve the agency/client experience.

•        Partnering with the CCC leadership team to analyze feedback, performance metrics, opportunities or challenges and develop creative solutions that improve operational execution and efficiency.

•        Serving as the CCC’s subject matter expert on personal lines products, service offerings, and state announcements.

•        Promoting teamwork by remaining available to colleagues, proactively intervening to mitigate service escalations, and assuming oversight over strategic projects as needed. 

Qualifications:

•        2+ years personal lines marketing, underwriting, or sales experience

•        A proven track record of achieving targets/metrics, driving sales, and negotiating wins

•        Exceptional oral and written communication skills

•        Excellent marketing skills that effectively leverage analytics to drive the client experience

•        Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple priorities

•        Solid technical knowledge, including policy forms and regulatory environment

•        Proven ability to drive results and innovate in a fast paced environment

•        Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

•        Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license preferred

•        Knowledge of Masterpiece and/or PLS systems a plus

•        Must be willing to travel overnight 1-2 days per month
