The Personal Risk Services (PRS) Claim Business Consultant (CBC) role provides CHUBB with a competitive advantage in the personal lines successful client and group personal excess marketplace by being the Claim Department’s single point of engagement for our Insureds, Business Partners Managers and Producers.  The PRS CBC will work with PRS Underwriters, Regional Claim Executives, Producers and Insureds to understand customer needs and collaborate with the North America Claim Discipline Towers to drive the execution of claim account management plans, service deliverables and claim service solutions to these customers.
The PRS CBC account assignments are aligned within specific North America Geographic Regions and risk management underwriters.  This allows the PRS CBC to build/maintain knowledge and working relationships within these Geographic Regions. The PRS CBC’s are currently engaged only on accounts with annual premium of $500K or more.  This role handles approximately 30-35 accounts in total. We have recently expanded the role to manage accounts in excess of $250K.
The PRS CBC’s internal & external business partnerships, engagement and ability to drive specific claim account management plans, positions our organization for success by delivering the critical personal lines claim relationship component of the renowned CHUBB Claims Brand.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Highlight claim capabilities to existing and prospective Customers.
  • Lifecycle Management for assigned accounts – prospecting to renewal. 
  • Positively influence the acquisition and retention of key accounts identified by business partners or claims that require PRS CBC involvement. 
  • Collaborate with the Producer and Insured to develop and execute claim stewardship plans for our customers specifically identified by our PRS business partners.
  • Set business partner, producer and customer claim service expectations in accordance with established CHUBB Claims deliverables and guidelines for the client.
  • Manage the claim review process for engaged accounts in accordance with PRS CBC workflows and the respective claim discipline adjusters, supervisors, or managers participating in the claim review.
  • Deliver claim stewardship reports for engaged accounts identified by the Regional Claim Executive (RCE) &/or PRS Business Partners
  • Provide relevant special claim handling instructions (SHI) for qualifying accounts, ensure periodic updates for relevancy of SHI’s with underwriting, claims, producer and insured.
  • Provide timely and informative responses to Producer/Insured/Business Partner’s claims.
  • Demonstrate creative ideas and solutions to differentiate the Chubb Brand and manage the customer experience.
  • Provide data and information to internal partners regarding claim trends, coverage questions and “hot topics”.
  • Communicate with the Regional Claim Executive on claim educational topics that may be needed for Underwriters, Producers or Claim Staff to ensure the CHUBB claim brand is accurately represented to our customers and producers.
  • Facilitate the escalation of issues to the right level within the Claim Discipline Towers.  Insist that you be made aware of disposition of these issues before or at the same time as the Producer or Insured.
Business Skills and Competencies: 
  • Property or Casualty claim management or significant technical experience in Property (First Party) is a plus.
  • Proven technical capabilities within Property and the ability to discern a wide range of property products.
  • A strong understanding of Chubb's corporate, claim and claim service deliverables.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and enhance relationships and collaborate with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Strong strategic influence and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be decisive when confronted with complex scenarios that require an appropriate response time.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change and new challenges.

Education and Experience required: 
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Property claim experience preferred.
  • Claim Management experience preferred.
Travel Commitment:  Approximately 15%-20%.  This is a new role.  As the role develops there may be changes to the travel commitment required.
