Chubb’s Simsbury Office has an opening for an AVP, Human Resources Business Partner position. This position is responsible for all components of the human resource function working with Claims and USB (Underwriting Service Branch) staff within the Simsbury location.  Key responsibilities include:

Description:
• Provide value-added HR guidance and consulting to managers including talent and succession management, employee retention/engagement, learning and development, employee relations, performance management, diversity and culture of inclusion, compensation and total rewards, resource allocation, and HR analytics and metrics.
• Consult with Claim Regional HR manager to determine business’s needs related to workforce planning and organizational design.
• Provide onsite support for the Underwriting Services Branch staff. 
• Deliver talent plan with emphasis on standardized approaches to support the execution of business strategies.
• Lead change in delivery of HR services across region through effective collaboration with HR team and business managers.
• Influence managers to positively contribute to and support the HR vision, values and business strategies focused on achieving results.
• Consult with managers on key talent retention and development strategies.
• Provide coaching to managers on effective leadership, talent management, retention, and engagement strategies.
• Ensure delivery of HR services is standardized wherever possible.
• Consult with Claim Regional HR manager to determine where HR services require customization to ensure achievement of business priorities.
• Facilitate the development, communication and implementation of change initiatives when necessary.
• Ensure that all employees are treated with fairness and integrity through sound employment practices, consistent policy administration, and compliance.
• Execute corporate HR strategy and deliverables.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues across Chubb, including active participation on project teams.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist capacity, in insurance or financial services.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including collaboration, influence, strategic focus, communication and accountability.
• Demonstrated strong competencies in organization and talent work.
• Ability to function independently within delegated authority.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and perspectives.
• Internal consulting skills.
• Proven leadership, conflict management, change management and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of HR analytics and metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to drive for quality and timely results while operating in a team environment.
