Job Description

As the AVP in charge of Software Vendor Management and Compliance for Global Procurement, the candidate will provide leadership of the function for managing relationships with Chubb’s strategic software providers, including sourcing new opportunities, managing performance, risk, and issues.  In addition, the candidate will be responsible for interfacing with IT Software and business stakeholders to understand requirements to deliver optimal licensing agreements.  They will also be responsible for deployment and management of Chubb’s global Software Asset Management (SAM) program, working directly with Global IT and other relevant stakeholders.

•        Leads and manages Software Vendor Management and Compliance Team of two (2) individuals;

•        Owns Vendor Management responsibility for Strategic (Enterprise) software providers pursuant to Chubb Global Procurement’s policy and processes

•        Single point of contact for all issues regarding software vendor performance, third party risks, business controls, renewals, and strategic sourcing for strategic software providers

•        In conjunction with Strategic Sourcing, evaluates new software providers for fit with Chubb requirements

•        Leads commercial discussions on new software products and expansion of strategic software products

•        In conjunction with Global Contracts, negotiates key business terms with strategic software providers

•        In conjunction with Global IT, provides strategic direction to global stakeholders for Software Asset Management   

•        Owns global deployment and implementation of SAM technology (FlexNet) (in process) and manages steady state activities required for a successful SAM program

•        Leads engagements on all software vendor audits globally, working with local stakeholders as appropriate to manage financial exposure    

•        10-12 years of software vendor management experience, particularly with Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle

•        Experience with managing a team of individuals  

•        Experience with working with global stakeholders across multiple business areas

•        Knowledge/Experience in managing a global Microsoft Enterprise Software program

•        Knowledge with software licensing agreements, both SAAS and on premise

•        Excellent and timely verbal and written communication skills required as well demonstrated ability to present to Executive Management

•        Strong negotiation skills required

•        Specific experience with FlexNet and a global implementation a strong plus

•        Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction

•        Comfortable with making business decisions independently
