Job Description:

Governance Enterprise Application Architect needed for a large-scale, Enterprise scale global system implementation in the P&C industry. Lead solutions design, analyze business and functional requirements, lead integration design, ensure designs adhere to industry best practices and corporate technology standards. Research and assess new technologies and development tools and make recommendations.


As the governance architect for the Enterprise Architecture, this resource will be responsible for Lean governance, Agile governance, Agile development methods, DevOps technology methodologies and templates.  The Lean Governance architect will provide Modern Architecture knowledge and oversight; deliver EA Operational Metrics and KPIs and drive the organization in the adoption of consistent tools, processes, technologies and templates. Governance architect will also own Change Delivery Framework (CDF), building permit process, CHEar process and will be the primary accountable person for state audits, compliance audits, and other internal/external audits/reviews. Governance architect will also be responsible for exception request documentation, approval and remediation tracking and reporting.

New functionalities are being built using modern frameworks such as re-active/thin UI, Microservices and APIs, MS Azure cloud platform, requiring that an Governance architect with strong application and solution architecture skills along with the necessary system and technology experience. 

In the longer term, this architect will be responsible for on-going improvements to architecture, performance and stability of our key systems with the goal of continuously improving operational excellence and alignment with Digital and platform strategies.  The Lean Governance Architect will be the primary driver for software currency, re-use of existing capabilities and ensuring that the applications are being built using approved technologies stack and are adhering to the quality attributes expected to meet the non-functional requirements such as scalability and performance.

BS/MS Degree in Computer Science preferred.
