POSITION SUMMARY:  
 
Responsible for managing the success of mid-sized and small projects, focused on integrating people, process and technology enhancements to business solutions. These initiatives have a heavy emphasis on the business integration of big data solutions, predictive modeling and Claims advanced analytics to drive return on investment. 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work directly with Claim business leaders, and front-line claim handlers and supervisors to solicit feedback to be incorporated into analytic solutions.
  • Serve as product owner of agile project teams, collaborating with technical model development and IT resources, to drive analytic solution delivery
  • Provide leadership for unstructured data analysis and text mining, including the coordination of developing key concepts and business reviews.
  • Scope, plan, manage, analyze and monitor key business process engineering and oversee functional requirements, user acceptance testing, and other deliverables to support the business integration of analytical solutions essential to achieving the desired return on investment.
  • Responsible for all change management, deployment, implementation, and measurement strategies
  • Participate in the development of formal business cases, including the recommendation of business priorities with the highest value that are aligned with business and technology strategy, and advise business on options, risks and costs of people, process and technology solutions.
  • Analyze emerging trends with big data and analytics and work with analytics, business and IT leadership to ensure business needs are clearly understood and solutions meet the needs and expectations of the business. When appropriate, question and challenge business teams to understand goals, priorities, and requirements. Facilitate issue resolution and communicate decisions to relevant parties. 
  • Collaborate with key business personnel to define actionable decision support, analytic indicators and reason messages.
 
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Build and maintain a solid understanding of the major trends in big data, data visualization, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and advanced analytics that could have a positive impact on the business.
  • Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of business process and products across Claims and IT and establish strong working relationships with business leaders, functional counterparts and vendors.
  • Understand the Claim business and IT strategy and/or sourcing direction and how they impact the relationships with specific vendors.
  • Manage individual workload, manage multiple priorities and deliver to agreed upon milestones.
  • Provide thought leadership for solutions that leverage analytics and unstructured data.
  • Coach and proactively promote the skills development of junior staff.
  • Share/leverage successful analytic products, processes and practices across the Chubb enterprise.
  • Ensure documentation is thorough, captured appropriately, meets best practices and compliance standards and is easily assessable to the team members.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to business processes involving analytics and act as a liaison to the statistical and information technology teams.

  • Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis concepts and tools, financial business case development and ROI modeling and measurement
  • Able to build effective relationships with business, analytics, and IT leadership at all levels
 
 
 
 
EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors required. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of combined business, team leadership and technology experience
  • 5+ years of technology, analytics, big data and/or consulting experience including managing client relationships (internal/external)
