About Chubb’s Information Technology Group
Chubb's Information Technology group manages all of our critical business systems and data including, for example, information about customers, rates, premium and expenses. Our Information Technology team is dedicated to creating competitive advantages in products, customer services and business costs by driving digital transformation in our business with a modernized focus on agile methodology and data analytics.
The IT department consists of a number of disciplines where we will have internship opportunities including Information Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, Infrastructure, Architecture, Development, Risk Management and Security and Compliance. The IT summer internship will run from June through August and is offered in several locations. It will provide the opportunity to participate in one of the disciplines and gain an awareness of the systems, projects and interactions in a corporate IT organization.
Position Summary:
Chubb is looking for IT Interns for an entry level Enterprise Architect to learn and provide targeted support aimed at learning and to help mature the EA practices. This individual will take direction from the Chubb's EA tech leads and work collaboratively across not only an EA team, but also with other Business Unit Architects, BU Chief Architects, developers and QA testers. This person should have a passion of the core EA model-oriented structure and how data is relatable in this manner. They should also have passion to understand modern and legacy architectural concepts, and be comfortable interfacing with appropriate client counterparts. The candidate will learn various EA Frameworks and of the content associated with the various Reference Models. The candidate will also learn how EA KPIs are made and how entire IT governance process works at Chubb.
  • Learn Digital technologies and be part of the change.
  • Learn API Management and cloud governance.
  • Work closely with all business units across North America region to help understand business needs and transforming them into IT deliverables. Work closely with Chubb Overseas General/ International regions and be part of Chubb’s global Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Learn agile framework and DevOps methodologies and apply daily.
  • Learn Cloud implementation.
  • Learn Security and compliance.
  • Learn and enhance Chubb’s KPIs and reporting methods
  • Learn Lean governance.
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related major with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and add value in the assigned discipline and department
